I no longer wish
to remember your ghost;
Somehow standing beside you,
I felt more alone.

You’ve turned into a stranger,
but now I am stronger;
I’m not playing this game
with you any longer.

You had a way with words,
but your actions spoke first;
You put in no effort,
so don’t expect any either.

I used to care about you,
then I realized the truth:
You only care to keep those
who you don’t fear to lose.

No amount of success
will make you feel whole
if you push away those
who love you the most.
